The age of 5G has intensified the adoption and implementation of innovative digital applications, as increasingly sophisticated and affordable network technology provides enterprises with faster speeds, greater throughput, and lower latency. These capabilities have allowed organizations across all industries to leverage new technology like, intelligence (AI), virtual reality, (VR), and even the Internet of Things (IoT).
Yet, for all the innovative devices that 5G can aid in facilitating, an instrumental technology that holds the best prospect for positive influence with 5G’s enablement is network-aware applications. These are applications that can react to changing network conditions, offering potential quality of service differentiation without network support.
Network-aware applications can take advantage of the programmable nature of the network to dynamically request network resources such as higher quality of service (QoS on demand), deterministic path, specific latency, which can transform a private 5G network from a pure connectivity solution into an intelligent asset for enterprise operations.
To create network-aware applications, application developers must navigate the complexity of multiple advanced network interface types, including 5G, Wi-Fi6, and more, and diverse APIs from various network equipment providers. This results in slower adoption of network programmability. Hence, at Shabodi, we developed our Network-Aware Application Enablement Platform (NetAware) to handle these challenges in network-aware application creation. Our NetAware programmable network platform and simplified APIs address these challenges by allowing enterprise applications to easily consume network services and optimize network resources.
However, we didn’t stop there, and are proud to announce the introduction of the Shabodi NetAware Sandbox, an industry-first developer sandbox dedicated to acelerate application innovation and optimizing performance using private wireless and hybrid networks.
Shabodi’s Sandbox
The release of our sandbox is game changing for developers who no longer need to be experts in the underlying radio network or the core network APIs. The purpose of the Shabodi NetAware Sandbox is to provide an environment in which the application developer ecosystem can create, validate, and explore network-aware services for a wide variety of industries.
The first phase of the sandbox is based on Shabodi’s NetAware 2.0 release, which launched in February 2024 and includes Shabodi’s simplified APIs and CAMARA for Enterprise APIs.
Our NetAware is the industry’s first for advanced networks, and combines the features of network services discovery, services catalog, orchestration, publication of APIs to developers, and insights, simplifying and accelerating the development, deployment, and management of network-aware IIoT/IoT applications.
By leveraging Shabodi NetAware and simplified APIs, developers of network-aware applications can leverage intelligent connectivity and network services to power Industry 4.0 technologies that drive enterprise optimization and enhance ROI from advanced network deployments. Shabodi’s NetAware fills the knowledge gap and speeds the way to create innovative applications and services, making it exponentially easier for the developer community to do what they do best – solve complex industry and business problems.
Becoming a Developer in the Sandbox
As enterprises across a variety of industries begin to take a closer look at the advantages that network-aware applications can offer, our NetAware can do all the heavy lifting for organizations looking to make the most of their Private 5G networks, and usher in a new era for dynamically aware network applications.
Now, our sandbox can let them go one step further, to easily create and implement unique, customized network-aware applications.
Shabodi will begin onboarding developers to its sandbox by end of April, by invitation. The sandbox environment will support developers to consume, integrate and develop their unique enterprise application with exposed network services. Developers can apply to participate in the sandbox on Shabodi’s website.
Shabodi will also be meeting with prospective developers at the Hannover Messe, one of the world’s largest trade fairs, dedicated solely to the topic of industry development, being held in Hannover, Germany from April 22 – 26, 2024. An onsite meeting with the Shabodi representative can be made by reaching out through the Shabodi Hannover Messe webpage.
