Enterprise authentication has long relied on passwords, OTPs, and app-based MFA methods that are built for a pre-mobile internet and increasingly defeated by SIM swap fraud, SMS interception, and social engineering.
Shabodi NetAware takes a different approach: authentication rooted in the mobile network itself, not in something a user types or receives.
At its core, Shabodi’s enterprise authentication stack combines three network-native signals.
SIM Swap Detection flags when a SIM has been recently transferred to a new device – the single strongest indicator of account-takeover fraud, before a transaction is approved.
Number Verify silently confirms that the phone number on a device matches the number attempting to authenticate, using the operator’s own network data rather than a one-time code the user has to enter (and that fraudsters can intercept or phish).
Silent Verification via TS.43, GSMA’s token-based entitlement and authentication framework, extends this further – enabling frictionless, standards-based authentication across Wi-Fi, private networks, and alternative connectivity, not just cellular.
Used together, these three APIs let enterprises verify “is this really the subscriber, on this device, right now” – invisibly, in the background, without OTPs, app switches, or user drop-off.
Why this beats legacy MFA/OTP
SMS OTPs and app-based MFA add friction and can still be defeated by SIM swap or phishing.
Network APIs authenticate at the infrastructure layer – the data comes directly from the operator’s network, not from something the user possesses or types. That makes it both harder to spoof and faster to complete, often in under a second.
Why Shabodi
NetAware is built on GSMA Open Gateway and the CAMARA API framework.
The emerging global standard for network APIs is giving enterprises a single, standardized integration layer instead of building separately against each operator.
We are operator-grade: certified, proven across multi-operator and aggregator deployments, and designed to scale from a single CSP integration to a global footprint without re-architecture. For financial services, e-commerce, and any enterprise where account takeover is a real cost, Shabodi NetAware turns the mobile network into the authentication layer. We are secure by design, invisible to the user.
